Dead Polecat

Dead Polecat

Checking the size of it's teeth
Scruffy Was very excited by the scent of this polecat ( or perhaps a polecat x ferret) - sadly it was already dead when we found it on the side of a small lane near Dudleston Hall.
Always being curious, I had to check out it's teeth!

Scruffy is pleased to meet you

Scruffy on "Stairway to Heaven"
This is my friend Scruffy.

Very aptly named, he never looks smart, or cute. A traditional mongrel dog, seemingly made of several different breeds stiched roughly together. Usually looks windblown & muddy and like he has never seen a brush or a bath - Scruffy came to live with us after we found him in the Dogs Trust at Roden - and we love him LOADS!

Scuffy takes one or both of us for a walk on average about 3 times a day, sometimes "round the block" (2 miles of country lanes) sometimes "over the hills" (10 - 15 miles up & down mountains). Sometimes, we choose the route - often he does.
So whilst he's quite happy, my knees are feeling the strain!

His motto is " So many rabbit holes; so little time."

We intend this blog to be a record of our adventures together, recording the ups & downs and photographing the items we find of interest - hopefully you will too.
